I think it's only fair that I give you a short bio. I have been writing poetry for about six years. I have been published in such places as The Pedestal Magazine,Slipstream Magazine, Quill and Ink Magazine,Sometimes City, andWomen Unbound. About a year ago, I stopped publishing my work due to the bad influence it had on my writing (it caused me to write for publication instead of up to my potential). To me, publishing is secondary to the art, and I am very interested in original, innovative work. As you will eventually come to discover, professional poetry publications are very much like anything else - they stick to what sells. This is difficult for me to accept, so I am in the process of starting my own e-zine with my fellow moderator, incendiary_eve, that will publish atypical work. It's very exciting.
Well, I hope you enjoy your experience here. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
